[Digital Jellyfish Case Study] Utilization as Evidence Data

Submit evidence to the client for weather risk settlement type construction.

We would like to introduce the implementation results of the small wave height observation device "Digi-Jellyfish." It has been installed in locations strongly affected by seasonal winds and where there is a discrepancy between the wave heights reported by Nowcast and the actual site conditions. The utilization coefficient did not match the actual situation, and there were many days when work could not be carried out due to severe weather. Therefore, we introduced "Digi-Jellyfish" to submit the data observed with it as evidence to the construction client. With the introduction of Digi-Jellyfish, we were able to present evidence to the client showing the discrepancy between the local wave heights and those reported by Nowcast.

[Digital Jellyfish Case Study] Established unique wave height work standards and presented them to the client.

Observing wave heights in the site waters and presenting them to the client as evidence for the trial construction project with weather risk settlement.

We would like to introduce a case study of the small wave height observation device, "Digi-Jellyfish." The work takes place in an area that is easily affected by waves and swells flowing in between two offshore breakwaters. There are many days when work is difficult due to wave conditions, and to help the client understand this fact, we introduced "Digi-Jellyfish." The data from the offshore Naufas was not trusted due to low wave height values, so we installed "Digi-Jellyfish" at the work site. We independently analyzed the wave height observation data, established work standard values, and submitted a design change request to the client with the results as evidence, which was successfully accepted.

[Digital Jellyfish Case Study] Private Company Offshore Wind Power Construction

Observe pinpoint wave heights and make rapid decisions to halt operations! Achieve DX of weather and ocean conditions using ICT!

We will introduce a case study of the "Digi-Jellyfish" (NETIS registration number QSK-170002-VE). The data from the "Digi-Jellyfish" can be viewed alongside wave height and wind speed forecasts, as well as typhoon information, using "Compass PLUS" (NETIS registration number QSK-210001-VE). It can be utilized not only for safety measures but also for creative ideas and technical proposals. Challenges on Site: Key Points for Evaluation - There are many people involved on site, and it is necessary to grasp oceanographic information and manage processes quickly. - It is necessary to observe wave heights during cable laying and issue instructions to halt work if needed. - It is essential to understand significant wave heights across the entire work area. - Submission of documentation to the client is required. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Example of Technical Proposal Utilization] Port Pier Improvement Project - Wave Height Management

Centralized management of wave height predictions and observations in the cloud - Technical proposals - Creativity and innovation - ICT - Remote monitoring - Significant wave height - Port construction - Marine construction - Ocean conditions - Civil engineering - Marine construction

■On-site Issues: Key Points in Evaluation (Example) "The construction area has no barriers, so when the easterly winds begin, swells can arrive in a short time, raising concerns about the potential for work stoppage. Additionally, during nighttime operations, the surrounding conditions cannot be visually confirmed, and relying solely on general sea condition information may delay the decision to halt work, making it difficult for the work fleet to retreat." ■Proposal (Example) Introducing the Comprehensive Weather and Sea Condition Portal Site Compass PLUS (NETIS Registration Number QSK-210001-VE) and the Buoy-type Small Wave Height Observation Device Digi-Jellyfish (NETIS Registration Number QSK-170002-VE) *For more details, please visit our website or feel free to contact us.
